Sidney Mcgill, the 2016 national under-23 cyclocross champion, participated in the CX Project in the 2018–19 season.

“One of my top Christmas gifts I’ve received was my first ever ‘real’ race bike,” Mcgill says. “It was a Scott mountain bike. It was snuck into the living room in the middle of the night for a special surprise the next morning. I had just started racing bikes and was over the moon to have a bike that didn’t weigh 30 lb. and had clipless pedals. I was ready to rock that next summer with my brand new weapon!”
