Structure SCW1 Foundation Series $12,275

The rear end of the Structure scw1 is fairly typical, but the front end is unlike anything you’ve seen before. This completely different chassis is designed to separate steering, suspension and braking forces, with linkages mounted on the down tube and the top of the “fork” legs. Once you get past novel design, this is a 27.5" carbon enduro bike. Measured travel at each end is 150 mm, but Structure says that it feels more like 180 mm. Spec on the scw1 Foundation Series is largely sram Eagle XX1 and Race Face. Only 60 of these bikes will be available in early 2020. ( structure.bike)

Scott Ransom 910 $8,000

Giant Reign Advanced Pro 29 1 $5,649

Giant has been producing the Reign for more than a decade. In that time, it’s become a force to be reckoned with. The latest iteration is a 29er with 146 mm of rearwheel travel, full carbon frame and enduro geometry. You’re getting a 65-degree head tube for more laid-back handling on the descents and a 76.8-degree seat tube to put you over the bottom bracket on the climbs. The Advanced Pro 1 model comes with Giant’s own carbon tubes, Fox suspension, sram GX drivetrain and braking, as well as Giant’s own Contact Switch dropper post and TR-1 29 wheels. Specialized Enduro Elite $6,899

The Specialized Enduro received some major changes for 2020. The suspension design is now more like Specialized’s Demo DH bike, while the full carbon frame sports 170 mm of front and rear travel in a more efficient design that cuts down on bob. Drivetrain duties are handled by a mix of sram NX and GX components, while there are sram Code R four-piston brakes, an X-fusion Manic dropper post and a host of Specialized parts at the rider and dirt contact points – plus a Rockshox Lyrik Select Plus fork and Rockshox Super Deluxe Select shock to smooth out the trail.
