The Ryder Hesjedal’s Tour de Victoria presented by Scotiabank is an event truly geared toward all riders – from a free kids’ ride to a 160-km challenge with 2,200 m of elevation gain. You’re encouraged to run what ya brung: any tuned bike will do. The start/finish area is by the B.C. legislative buildings and the harbour. There’s a subsidized registration for riders 18 years old and younger for all distances to keep things accessible. The young riders, however, will not be able to take advantage of the beer garden.
