Giro’s latest helmet for trail rides uses the company’s balland-socket technology along with mips. The helmet has a high-density outer layer of expanded polystyrene foam and a low-density inner layer. They move independently of one another to provide protection at high and low speeds. The helmet’s ability to protect you from the rotation forces generated in a crash are further bolstered with a mips insert. At low speeds, air moves freely between the helmet and your head.
