DR. WADE DAVIS is one of Canada’s great storytelle­rs, and has been described as a rare combinatio­n of scientist, scholar, poet and passionate defender of all of life’s diversity. An author of 20 books, including One River, The Wayfinders, The Sacred Headwaters, Into the Silence and River Notes, he is also known for his stunning photograph­y, which has been widely published and celebrated in exhibits. A recipient of the RCGS Gold Medal and the Explorers Club Medal, Wade was made a Member of the Order of Canada in 2016 and currently serves as Honorary Vice-president of the RCGS.
