TALLPLANT TAKEOVER?

-

The presence of new and taller plant species in the Arctic and alpine tundra, regions where shorter grasses and shrubs have long been prevalent, is linked to the effects of a warming climate, a new study involving more than 100 scientists around the world has found. The study, recently published in Nature, used nearly 30 years of vegetation survey data from 117 tundra sites across the Northern Hemisphere, including in Canada.
