Shell will release 50,000 km² of of fshore rights on Canada’s West Coast to support marine conser vation. More than one and a half times the size of Vancouver Island, the area includes unique glass sponge reefs, and valuable seabird breeding and nesting habitat. Together with government and conservation groups, we’ve contributed more than 12,000 hectares of land and nearly 60,000 km² of offshore rights for marine conservation in Canada.
