Tern truth

I really don’t think we should interfere with nature by killing a predatory species when it will continue to survive (“Either you choose to shoot gulls or you choose to let that tern colony disappear,” September/october). Is it worth the gulls’ suffering to keep that Arctic tern population going? As much as I sympathize with the terns, they will learn to build their nests elsewhere.
