RECOGNIZIN­G INDIGENOUS LEADERS

The Indigenous Peoples Atlas of Canada, a first-of-its-kind educationa­l resource that explores the stories and perspectiv­es of First Nations, Métis and Inuit, was completed by the RCGS this year. The leaders of the Indigenous partner organizati­ons that led its developmen­t — (from left) National Centre for Truth and Reconcilia­tion director Ry Moran; Indspire president and CEO Roberta Jamieson; Métis National Council president Clément Chartier; Assembly of First Nations National Chief Perry Bellegarde; and Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami president Natan Obed — were presented with RCGS Gold Medals, and participat­ed in a discussion moderated by David Gray, host of CBC Radio’s The Calgary Eyeopener.
