Give your friends something special for the holidays—Coffee Truffles made with Lavazza! These truffles are coated with crushed hazelnuts, nougat and coffee powder, with a touch of rum.
(For 20 truffles)
2 tbsp Lavazza espresso or coffee 200 g white chocolate
¼ cup double cream
3 tbsp chopped hazelnut
3 tbsp hard nougat or torrone, chopped 4 tsp butter
1 tsp rum
1 ½ tsp coffee powder
1 ½ tsp cocoa powder
15 tbsp ginger powder
Cut the chocolate into pieces. Bring the cream to a boil with the rum. Pour the liquid over the chocolate and mix until completely dissolved. Add the butter in pieces and mix well. Put the mixture into a container and chill.
Divide the dough into pieces and roll into miniature balls. Prepare a mixture of cane sugar and ginger, cut into pieces. Prepare a mixture with cocoa powder and coffee powder. (TIP: to create coffee powder, grind Lavazza coffee into a fine powder.) Place crushed hazelnuts on a plate. Coarsely chop nougat and arrange on a plate. Roll the balls in the different mixtures to get different varieties.
