¼ cup salted butter
2 cups large shallots, thinly sliced ¼ cup red wine vinegar
1 tbsp granulated sugar salt and pepper In skillet, melt butter over low heat; cook shallots, stirring often, until tender, about 10 minutes. Add vinegar and sugar; cook until liquid has evaporated. Season with salt and pepper.
