Races

The big news on the Montreal racing scene is that the Rock ’n’ Roll group has taken over the Montreal Marathon ( ca.competitor.com/en/montreal). Last year was the inaugural edition of the 42.2K music festival/race, featuring local and international talent, both on the road and on stage. The Canadian half-marathon championships are held on Ile-St.-Hélène and Ile-Notre-Dame each spring as part of the Canada Running Series ( canadarunningseries.com/monthalf_en). Starting in March and ending in October, the Greater Montreal

Running Circuit offers a series of 5K and 10K races, as well as shorter distances for kids. ( circuitendurance.ca). The Coupe Dix 30 ( coupedix30.com) isn’t that scenic, but its races are flat and fast.
