Where to go for a post-run beverage
PICAROONS ROUNDHOUSE f (880 Union St.) is on the north side and relatively new. The BREWTIQUE g (422 Queen St.) is a store in downtown Fredericton that sells Picaroons beer, T-shirts and other swag. They brew great beer. GRAYSTONE BREWERY h (221 King St.) is a new craft beer producer and reseller in Fredericton located on the west side of downtown. They feature over 20 taps with their own beer as well as a few select others, which are also all New Brunswick craft beers. For the best selection of single malts and premium blends in the city by far, check out LUNAR ROGUE i (625 King St.). The beer selection is also good and typical pub food is available. Of course, there’s also the CAPITAL COMPLEX j (362 Queen St.), which has multiple bars under one roof and most do live music.
Good places to eat
THE PALATE k (462 Queen St.) is a really nice option for brunch, and many say that it’s the best lunch spot in the city. 540 KITCHEN & BAR l (540 Queen St.) is a relatively new gastro pub to Fredericton that does a combination of good food and beer really well. DAMDA m (526 Queen St.) is a great Vietnamese/ Thai restaurant in downtown Fredericton, with a really nice atmosphere for lunch or dinner. For cheap eats in Fredericton, DIMITRI’S n (349 King St.), a Greek joint with consistently good food, is the go-to in the city.
