Getting There and Where to Stay

Corning is about a four-hour drive from Toronto, and much of it is actually quite enjoyable at this time of year. If you’re coming from farther away, there are often very affordable flights to Buffalo, then it’s a two-hour drive away. There are also regional airports in nearby Elmira, Ithaca and Binghamton, but these flights can be pricey.

The best bet for marathon weekend is the official race hotel, the Radisson Hotel Corning. It sits at the end of Market Street, just a short hobble away from the finish line. It hosts the pre-race dinner (in 2017 it featured guest speaker David MacGillivray, the race director of the Boston Marathon, who is quite the motivator), and has a great race weekend atmosphere.
