TORONTO WATERFRONT MARATHON

ONT. Oct. 21, 2018

-

If you’re looking for a fast, f lat and big-city marathon experience this fall, there is no better fit than racing through the streets of Canada’s biggest metropolis. The Waterfront Marathon retains its namesake because much of the first half cruises along the city’s wide Lakeshore Boulevard. Seeing thousands of other runners headed in the opposite direction (including some of the fastest marathoners ever to grace Canadian roads with their racing f lats) is truly inspiring. But the course also features a downtown first section, providing visiting runners with a taste of the diversity and grandeur of the Big Smoke.

Toronto looks and feels like a luxurious, world-class event because it is. The marathon has iaaf Gold Label status (one of only two marathons in Canada; the other being Ottawa). This means it’s supremely well-organized and, each year, could mean that you’ll be witness to history in the making.
