Myles Misener-Daley sets national U18 400m record at OFSAA
Myles Misener-Daley, 17, of Hamilton, Ont., set the national U18 400m record at ofsaa (Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations) in June at 45.99. The grade eleven student won both the 200m and 400m in 2017, and defended his titles successfully in 2018. Misener-Daley will compete in the U18 Jamaica Invitational, as well as the World Junior Championships this summer, and he hopes to run close to the Olympic standard of 45.50 by the end of his season. Misener-Daley is among a group of young athletes who are making history and breaking records in Canadian track and field. Jocelyn Chau, 18, of Toronto, broke the ofsaa 3,000m record in June. Chau has accumulated 11 medals during her ofsaa career. She will attend Yale University in the fall.
