APPLE WATCH SERIES 5

-

Starting at $529

Notable upgrades to the highly capable Series 4 smartwatch include always-on display, a built-in compass and lighter-weight options made with ceramic or titanium rather than stainless steel. Always-on means you no longer have to tap or raise your wrist to see your data (or even just what time it is, which is a big improvement over Series 4), but it looks like you can’t have your cake and eat it too when it comes to always-on display and great battery life, and you’ll probably have to charge it every day. The compass function, which shows incline, elevation, latitude and longitude, improves the usefulness of Apple Maps, if you use it. The Series 5 has twice as much internal storage as Series 4, even though it uses the same processor. One notable new safety feature: international emergency calling, which works if you’re in trouble and don’t have your phone, almost anywhere in the world.
