When it comes to protecting pollinator­s, Cory Sheffield, researcher and curator at the Royal Saskatchew­an Museum, has a bee in his bonnet.

With two types named after him — Lasiogloss­um sheffieldi and Mexalictus sheffieldi — Sheffield speaks up for bees everywhere: “The public needs to fully understand the threats to pollinator­s… There are so many.”
