Ontario could have better roadkill registration

-

Ontarians registered 1,151 pieces of roadkill this year—something they’re required to do by provincial law if they want to keep the body of a mammal or bird. This number is more than twice that of 2013, something Robin Horwath of the Ontario Fur Managers Federation attributes to increased awareness of the law. Horwath told CBC that the numbers should be even higher and that the provincial Ministry of Forestry and Natural Resources should work with the provincial police and Ministry of Transportation to raise awareness of the law.
