What’s On
Take our advice and keep your nature knowledge growing all year long
MUNICIPAL RESOURCES regina.ca/flowers
Many cities have resources letting you learn about municipally maintained nature —like Regina, where flowerbeds and their contents are logged in an interactive map on the city website.
NATURE IN YOUR POCKET play.google.com
The key to learning about your local nature is already in your pocket! Look to nature apps for insight. You can identify plants and trees with apps like Virginia Tech Tree ID, available from the Google Play store. Knowing the plant life around you could be the key to spotting exciting local wildlife that relies on it.
THE OUTDOORS, INDOORS nature.ca
It may be spring, but the weather’s still changeable throughout Canada. On the next less-than-beautiful day, visit a local nature museum. If you’ll be in Ottawa, the Canadian Museum of Nature has a butterfly exhibit on until April 2.
