It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Malcolm Noseworthy on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.

Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Chester and Kay (Morrison) Noseworthy.

He was a wonderful person, who cared for everyone around him. He had a great sense of humour, he touched all who knew him. He was an avid dart player. He enjoyed cooking and baking.

Malcolm is survived by his children, Kenneth (Annemarie), Karen Renee (Mark), Crystal ( Jason) and Christophe­r; 11 grandchild­ren with special mention from poppy to Austin Raine and Amber Dawn. He is also survived by his brother, George (Nickie); aunt, Jessie Fraser; best friend, Valerie; sisters-in-law, Carol, Gail, Darlene and Karen, brother-in-law, Brian and their families; father-in-law and best friend, John A. MacNeil; good friends, Paula and Stevie O’Leary, Margie Sullivan and Brenda Curry; daughter-in-law, Melissa (Steven); as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predecease­d by his brothers, Jim, Donald, Ricky, Kenny, one sister in infancy.

Visitation will be held today (Thursday, Nov. 22) at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will take place 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 23 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiatin­g. Reception to follow.
