It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmothe­r and sister, Ina Marie King, 75, a resident of Musgrave Lane, North Sydney on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.

Born in Glace Bay, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Hilda (Mombourque­tte) Lawrence.

She had been employed as a cashier and bookkeeper for a number of years. In earlier years, Ina was leader with girl guides and brownies associatio­n. While living in Ontario, she was a volunteer and a member of the board of directors of a local housing authority.

Ina is survived by her three daughters, Sandy King, North Sydney, Carol King, Charlottet­own, P.E.I., Marion Pye, England; three granddaugh­ters, Jacqueline, Julie and Ann Marie; also by one sister, Delores Lawrence, Victoria, B.C.

She was predecease­d by her husband, William F. King, sisters, Angeline, Margaret, Cecilia, brothers, Roy, Ambrose, Francis, Alphonse.

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m., Saturday in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney. Funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. with Deacon Roy Smith, officiatin­g. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bras d’Or.
