‘Jersey Shore,’ ‘Biggest Loser’ stars to be part of Cape Breton New Year’s Eve
SYDNEY — Reality TV stars and international models will walk the red carpet as part of a large New Year’s Eve show planned for the Joan Harriss Cruise Pavillion.
Angelina Pivarnick of MTV’s “Jersey Shore” fame will co-host the event with Cape Breton born J.C. MacNeil, who has been active in the New York modelling industry since 2009, according to a press release from JC Products and Promotions, the event host.
Celebrities joining them on the red carpet include Daniel Feld from the “Project Runway” TV show, who will speak with guests about their fashion and dress contest winners for the evening with his dresses that have been worn by many celebrities.
Poppi Kramer, winner of “The Biggest Loser,” will also be in attendance to do some comedy on the red carpet.
The event will also feature a dance floor adjacent the red carpet with DJ Ri-Mix, a New York DJ and entertainer.
All guests can pose on the red carpet in front of paparazzi, whose photos will be provided online to each guest for free. Video footage of guests talking with celebrities will also be posted online for guests to remember the evening.
Other designers and celebrities will be announced throughout the month of December, along with a few other surprises.
The event, for those 19 and older, also includes a silent auction in support of the Canadian Cancer Society.
Tickets will be $50 plus tax for general admission and include a red carpet pass. A limited number of VIP tickets include a balcony overlooking the event, a private bar and catered food.
Tickets are on sale at ticketpro.ca, the Bean Bank Cafe on Charlotte St. and other locations to be announced.
