It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our dad, Clarence Morgan, 82, of Sydney Mines, on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015, at the Northside General Hospital.

Born in Sydney Mines on Dec. 12, 1932, he was the son of the late Carroll and Helen (Donovan) Morgan. He was a member of Holy Family parish in Sydney Mines.

Clarence spent the last number of years at Miners’ Memorial Manor, where he enjoyed the new family he made. He felt that he was home. He spent many days enjoying the entertainm­ent that was provided. “Don’t waste good music” are words he used quite often.

Clarence leaves behind to mourn his daughters, Sarah (Neil) Roach and Helen (Gerald) Cooke, both of Sydney Mines, Elizabeth (Don) Donovan, P.E.I.; son, Clarence (Angie), Sydney Mines; niece, Patricia (Michael) Williams, who he thought of as a daughter; nine grandchild­ren and 12 greatgrand­children. He also leaves behind a brother, Carl (Lillian) and sisters, Jean (Bob) McGean and Yvonne (Douglas) Serroul.

Besides his parents, Clarence was predecease­d by his wife, Theresa (Hennessey) Morgan in 1996, son, Glenn in 2012, brothers, Wallace, Joseph and sisters, Blanche, Eileen, Eunice and Mildred.

Many thanks for the care received by staff at the Miners’ Manor and Dr. Doug Kohlsmith. All the care and support received from everyone was amazing. Many thanks to the staff at the Northside General Hospital Emergency Department and 4th Floor. They were very caring and treated dad with respect.

Visitation for Clarence Morgan will be held in J. M. Jobes Funeral Home, 635 Main St., Sydney Mines (today) Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebratio­n of his life will take place on Monday, Feb. 23, 2015, at 2 p.m. in Holy Family Church, Sydney Mines, Fr. Thomas John officiatin­g.
