-

It is with extreme heavy hearts, that we, the family announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, Blaine Mitchel Cameron, age 28, in Grand Prairie.

Born in Glace Bay, Mitchel is survived by his father, Blaine Cameron (Debbie McNeil) and his mother, Elaine McInnis.

Mitchel was employed in the trucking industry, he loved trucking and grabbing gears as he would say, just like his dad. Mitch loved being out on the Mira camping with mother and she would always say, ‘ You’re my favourite son.’ He loved to swim, play baseball and hockey. He was always up for playing a game of pool.

When it was fly day to come home he couldn’t wait to hit the island to see his family and get a pizza. Mitchel was known for his contagious laugh and his great sense of humour.

Besides his parents, Mitchel is survived by his beautiful daughter, Jayda Mercer; grandparents whom he adored and loved like parents, Danny and Paula McInnis, his loving step-family, his lifelong best friend, Whoie Gallant and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him dearly.

Mitchel was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Jackie and Eileen Cameron and uncles, Ronnie and Wayne.

Visitation for Mitchel will be held on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015, in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
