It is with great sadness that we the family announce the sudden passing of Marguerite Ann Sophocleou­s ‘Maggie’ on Feb. 21, 2015, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Simon and Euphemia (MacDougall) Gale.

Maggie is survived by her children, Phillip and Jessica, and sisters, Mary (Bobby) Myers and Cecelia Shaw.

Besides her parents Maggie was predecease­d by her brother Larry Gale and sister-in-law Marie Gale-MacInnis.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation for Maggie will be on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015, at S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be on Thursday, Feb. 26, at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa’s Church, Sydney, with Fr. Jim Oliver officiatin­g. Interment to take place at a later date in Resurrecti­on Cemetery.

Donations in her memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Lung Associatio­n.
