Trial set for Sydney man on drug charge

SYDNEY — A Sydney man will now proceed to trial on a drug offence pleading not guilty Wednesday. Douglas Francis Bennett, 18, of Patnic Avenue is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking in marijuana. A second count of trafficking in marijuana was withdrawn. The offence allegedly occurred Oct. 3 in Sydney. A provincial court trial is now set for March 31.
