Host of charges against Sydney man dismissed

SYDNEY — A Sydney man will be back in provincial court Dec. 7 to enter pleas on charges including forcible entry. Tayne William Halfkenny, 27, of Cross Street, is charged with two counts of breaching court orders in addition to the forcible entry offence. Meanwhile, a host of other offences were dismissed Thursday against Halfkenny. Charges of assault with a weapon, assault, unlawfully being a dwelling and three counts of breaching court orders were all dismissed. Those offences were alleged to have occurred in October 2014.
