Man to be sentenced for several offences

SYDNEY — A Sydney man will be sentenced Feb. 3 after pleading guilty Wednesday to several offences. Gerald Wilson Baker, 62, of Edgewater Drive pleaded guilty to two counts of assault and single counts of uttering a threat and possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace (a sawed-off shotgun). Other charges were withdrawn. The offences occurred in Sydney between Aug. 2 and Aug. 11. Wilson continues his release on conditions.
