A crowd of several hundred boxing fans took in the action at the latest installment of the Friday Night Fights, hosted by the Sydney Boxing Club at Centre 200. In the women’s 67 kg weight class, Charlie Cavanaugh, left, of Saint John, N.B., won a unanimous decision over Kady MacDonald, of the Albion Amateur Boxing Club in Trenton. Both boxers connected with some solid blows and received loud applause from the appreciative audience. The main event that featured former national champion Norma Marshall, of Albion, and Sydney’s Natalie Fagan, who was a 2015 national silver medalist, had not started by press time.
