MACDONALD, Mary Celestine ‘Cellie’

We regret to announce the passing of Mary Celestine MacDonald, age 86 of Dominion. Cellie passed away on Thursday, Nov. 26, 2015 at the Glace Bay Hospital.

Born in Reserve Mines, she was the daughter of the late Margaret (MacDonald) and D.J. (Dan Jimmie) MacDonald and was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Bridgeport.

Cellie worked for DuPonte of Canada, and then went to work at Zellers as a buyer, and following her retirement she resided in Dominion.

She is survived by her sister, Estelle (Bill Usher), Edmonton; and will also be missed by her nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Cellie was predecease­d by brothers, Aral, Dannie, Joseph and by sisters, Anna, Gerry and Shirley.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivra­y Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. A funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 30, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Church, Bridgeport, with Fr. Daniel Boudreau officiatin­g. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Donations in Celestine’s memory may be made to a charity of choice.
