It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Shirley Mae (Dingwall) Musgrave, age 80, on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at the Academy Manor, Andover.

Born in South Bar, Nova Scotia, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Murray Ellsworth and Mary Selina (Crane) Dingwall MacAulay.

She retired as cook from The German Old Folks Home in Lawrence after more than 25 years.

Previously she worked at DASA Electronic­s in Andover. She was a hairdresse­r for many years in Nova Scotia.

Shirley is survived by her sons, William (Ann) of Dover, MA and Brian (Jen) of Prince Rupert, B.C., Canada; brother, Ronald (Elmire), New Waterford, N.S.; sisters, Dorothy Sweeney, Bradford, MA, Janet (Red) MacKay and Clara (Lloyd) Williams, of Kamloops; Brother-in-law, Albert Musgrave, Sydney; sistersin-law, Shirley Ardelli and Dorothy (Daye) Dingwall, of Sydney; grandchild­ren, Jonathan Musgrave, Kalila, Stephanie and Joel Silva; her friends and neighbors, at Merrimack Valley Apartments in Methuen and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Besides her parents, Shirley was predecease­d by her husband, William Musgrave; stepfather, Daniel MacAulay; her sister, Marion Heighton and brothers, George, Ellsworth (Lal) and Gordon.

The family would like to thank Dr. Young Bae Kim and the medical staff at Tuft’s Medical in Boston, the entire staff of Academy Manor and the hospice team of Compassus.

Relatives and friends are respectful­ly invited to visiting hours on Saturday, July 23rd, from, 9-11a.m. at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen.

Interment will follow at Bellevue Cemetery, Lawrence, Mass.
