CARD OF THANKS Jamie Burke

-

On behalf of the family, we would like to take this opportunity to offer our sincere “THANK YOU” to everyone for their overwhelming show of support to our family over the last couple of weeks. Words cannot express how grateful we are to you all as you have helped to ease our pain during this difficult time. Our family is mourning his passing yet together we celebrated his life. He touched all our lives in so many ways- as a husband, father, son, brother, fisherman, and friend. His steadfast love for his family and friends; his unwavering concern for and gentleness with those who sought his help and his commitment to living each day to the fullest have brought us much needed peace. With love, the memory of his kind deeds and the strength of his example live on. Special thanks to Fr. Patrick O’Neill for officiating the service and to Fr. Howard Lathigee for the moving rendition of “Fishermen’s Boy”. Also to the Honourary Pallbearers (Danny, Terry, Jimmy Dale, Dave, Jerry, Ryan, Harvey, Adam, Jonathan, Edgar), and to the Fishermen’s Honour Guard for their moving and respectful tribute to Jamie and our family. It meant so much to see you all there. We would also like to thank Lee David Price for singing Jamie’s special song as well to Charlotte Forgeron and the choir for making sure that the service was a true celebration of Jamie’s life. Very special thank you to Sheldon Chant and his team for their utmost professionalism and courtesy in our time of need. Thank you to the Immaculate Conception CWL for providing a light lunch after the service, Shirley Morash for all of the printing, Rosie Gillis and Barry Sheehy for the readings, to Jimmy Price for taking care of the grave, and to Jimmy Dale Kennedy and Barry and Christine Sheehy who went above and beyond for our family. Finally, thank you to everyone who called, sent cards, flowers, visited, helped out in anyway, or brought food to our homes. Your concern and generosity make us proud to live in such a close knit community as no act of kindness goes unnoticed. Thank you for remembering him. God Bless each and every one of you! Lynn, Brendan, LeeAnne, Chris, Kathleen and families
