Balls Creek man to have bail hearing

SYDNEY — A Balls Creek man is to return to provincial court next week for a bail hearing on a host of offences. Dylan Riley MacDonald, 18, of Campbells Road is charged with carrying a weapon dangerous to public peace and three counts of breaching court orders. The offences allegedly occurred July 17 in Sydney. He is also charged with 14 counts of breaching court orders, two counts of theft over $5,000 (both involving ATVs), two counts of possession of stolen property over $5,000, and single counts of evading police, break and enter and theft (chainsaw). Those offences allegedly occurred between June and July. MacDonald will continue to be on remand pending the outcome of a bail hearing scheduled for Tuesday.
