It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of Raymond Blois on Friday, July 22, 2016, at the Cape Breton Regional hospital with loving family at his side.

Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Albert and Yvonne Blois.

Raymond was employed with Devco until his retirement, after 35 years in the coal mines. He was a member of the Marconi Wildlife Associatio­n and had a love for hunting, fishing and gardening.

Raymond is survived by daughter, Maria (Brent) Penny; sons, Raymond ‘Frank ’(Lynn) and Arthur (Margie); 4 grandchild­ren, Brandon, Shaun, Lauren and Tyler; sisters, Muriel (Jack), Virginia, Simone (Gord) and Camille (Rod); brothers, Eugene, George (Margaret), Adrian (Debbie); sister-in-law, Leone and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was predecease­d by wife, Ellen Elizabeth (Bowers); brother, Sonny and nephew David

In following Raymond’s wishes cremation has taken place, there will be no visitation or service; burial will take place in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.

Donations may be made to Palliative Care at Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
