It is with heartfelt sadness that we the family announce the sudden passing of Brenton Andrew Boutilier on March 18, 2017.

Born in Glace Bay he was the son of Brent ‘Toot’ Boutilier and Sara ‘Sadie’ (McNeil) Boutilier.

Brent love to spend time with his children and enjoyed baseball, hockey and basketball. Another joy that he had over the last year was working out with his son Andrew. Brent was always ready for a good feed of wings and having a good laugh.

Surviving is his wife, Tanya (Pace) Boutilier; daughters, Brianna and Alyssa; son, Andrew; father, Brent ‘Toot’ (Marybeth); mother, Sara ‘Sadie’ (Mike); sister, Amy (Liezl); brother, Eric; grandmothe­rs, Caroline MacNeil and Betty Boutilier; niece, Hailey; brotherin-law, Michael Pace; motherin-law, Lois Pace; step brothers, Jamie, Jeremey and Jeffery Gallucci and their families and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Brent was predecease­d by grandfathe­rs, Eric MacNeil and Hubert Boutilier; cousins, Bryan, Brendan, Mark and Matthew and aunt, Sylvia.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay. Funeral service will take place on Thursday March 23 at 2 p.m. in Patten Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev Duncan Roach officiatin­g.
