GILLARD, Helen Bernice

Helen Bernice Gillard, 86 of Glace Bay, passed away Tuesday April 11, 2017 at the Glace Bay Hospital.

Born in Glace Bay she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Veronica (Brown) Gillard,

Helen is survived by sons, John (Vicki), Weldon (Masako), Leslie (Deedee) and Glenn (Nicole); daughter, Vonnie (Pat); daughters-in-law, Susan and Bernadette; brothers, Gordon (Chum) Gillard; sisters, Joyce Leblanc (Sylvester), Pat Winstanley (Roy), Marlyn Delaire (Donald) and Shirley Morrison; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Helen was predeceased by sons, Michael and James; grandsons, Raymond and Joshua; brother, Willie Gillard; sister, Belle Simmons; sister-in-law, Mary Francis Gillard; brothers-in-law, Allen Simmons and James Morrison.

Visitation for Helen will be Tuesday April 18, 2017 from 6-9 p.m. A celebration of life service will be on Wednesday April 19, 2017 at 11 a.m., followed by a reception at Tracey Family Funeral Home 370 Reserve St, Glace Bay, 902-849-4199, with Fr. Norman MacPhee officiating.
