It is with a heavy heart that we announce the peaceful passing of Sheldon Pearson, age 75, on Monday, September 25, 2017 at home in Whitney Pier with his wife, Marlene MacNeil and son, Jesse Pearson by his side.

Sheldon was born in Sydney on April 28, 1942 to the late Christie MacIsaac and John Thomas Pearson.

Sheldon was a member of Local 682 Plumbers and Pipe Fitters. He had big heart for seniors and children. He will be remembered by family and friends for being kind hearted and his funny stories.

Sheldon will be sadly missed by his wife, Marlene MacNeil and children, Jesse, Sheldon, Todd, Tammy and Jacqueline; his grandchild­ren; his brother, Jackie (Helen), Angie (Paulette), Shawn (Kathy) and sister-inlaw, Janice Pearson. Sheldon is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, especially Jeff and Terry Pearson. Besides his parents, Sheldon was predecease­d by brother, Terry; sister, Marjorie (Billy Oliver) and nephews, Ryan and Michael.

Memorial service to celebrate the life of Sheldon Pearson will be held in Pier Community Funeral Home, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church Street) on Friday, September 29, 2017.

A gathering of family and friends will take place from 10-11 a.m. with service to follow at 11 a.m. in the All Faith Chapel with Fr. Paul Murphy officiatin­g. Interment will take place in New Calvary Cemetery, Whitney Pier.

Donations in memory of Sheldon may be made to Holy Redeemer Building Fund or charity of one’s choice.

Funeral arrangemen­ts are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
