CLEMENTS, Keith

-

It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of Keith Clements of Glace Bay on October 31, 2017 at Glace Bay Hospital with his best friend, his brother, Brian at his side.

Born in Glace Bay he was the son of the late Arthur Harold and Mary “Mamie” Elizabeth (O’Brien) Clements.

Keith was employed with the CBVRSB as a teacher for 35 years where he spent most of his teaching career at MacDonald High School in Dominion. As part of his teaching he enjoyed spending time coaching badminton and taking the team away on trips for tournaments. He was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan and spent plenty of Saturday night’s cheering them on. He also enjoyed spending time working on vehicles with his brother.

He is survived by his brother, Brian (Laurie Ross); goddaughter, Sarah Kelly; aunt and uncle, Greg and Ursula O’Brien and numerous cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his walking companion, his dog, Dixie.

Many thanks to the Nursing staff of the 3rd floor at the Glace Bay Hospital for their care and compassion for Keith during his illness.

Visitation will be held at Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay on Monday, November 6 from 6-9 p.m.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 7 at St. Anne’s Church, Main Street, Glace Bay at 10 a.m.
