Keltic Clothing wins international award
Keltic Clothing has been named an international retailer of the year at the 11th annual Uniform Retailers Association Awards in Nashville, Tenn.
The Sydney company owned by Steve and Katherine van Nostrand was honoured in the single store category.
It was the fourth time they have received the honour. The husband and wife team began the Keltic Clothing business (formerly Belmac Uniforms) more than 20 years ago.
“For us this award recognizes and appreciates the hard work and dedication of our staff, our customers and our suppliers. It is a great honour for us to be recognized on an international level,” Katherine van Nostrand said in a news release.
Keltic Clothing was established to give working professionals options to feel empowered and inspired by their clothing. The company ships to customers around North America. The company prides itself on working with customers and businesses to create custom packages that work for their industry. They offer in-house services including custom cresting, tailoring and embroidery options.
They are the official uniform provider to numerous industries throughout the Atlantic region including the Nova Scotia Nurses Union, through which they will supply 12,500 nurses with their uniforms this year.
The van Nostrands believe in community action and the
company works with groups including the United Way of Cape Breton and Basketball Cape Breton, with staff volunteering their time and talent by coaching, planning events and serving on board and committees of local and national organizations.
Keltic Clothing is a division of Belmac Supply Ltd., which includes Keltic Kubota and Keltic Tools and Fasteners.
