Bail hearing scheduled for Sydney man

-

SYDNEY — After trafficking charges were dismissed and he was released on conditions, a Sydney man is again behind bars charged with drug and breach offences.

Stephen William Murrin, 26, of Townsend Street, is now charged with possession of cocaine and 10 counts of breaching court orders. The breach offences include failing to adhere to curfew, keep the peace and report to police by telephone.

Murrin was charged in August, along with a co-accused, with possession for the purpose of trafficking in cocaine and weapon offences. The drug charges against both accused were later dismissed and both were released on conditions. Murrin made a brief court appearance Friday and was remanded pending the outcome of a bail hearing set for Monday.
