PIRATES, MINERS PICK UP WINS ON FRIDAY

The Strait Pirates and Kameron Jr. Miners each picked up wins on Friday night. In Port Hawkesbury, the Pirates defeated the Antigonish Farmers’ Mutual Jr. Bulldogs 6-3. Meanwhile, in Sackville, the Jr. Miners downed the Sackville Blazers 7-3. The Pirates will be in action today against the Cole Harbour Colts at 7:30 p.m. at Gray Arena in Dartmouth, while the Jr. Miners are in Brookfield to play the Elks today at 5 p.m. at the Don Henderson Memorial Sportsplex.
