It is with profound grief and sadness that we announce the passing of our dad, brother, and friend, Lorway ‘Glen’ McLellan. Glen died peacefully at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney on Friday, December 22, 2017, at the age of 65, with family by his side.

Glen is survived by his children, Jillian (Graham Kent) and Chelsea; siblings, twin sister, Janet (Alex) Watters, Barbara (Kenny) Robertson and Kirk (Lori) McLellan; many friends, extended family, and dogs, Chloe and Max.

He was predeceased by his parents, Dr. James Russell and Virginia McLellan, and his “little buddy” son, Connor.

His children remember him as a one-of-a-kind father who encouraged them to pursue their goals. Glen was accomplished at carpentry, electrical, mechanics, bartending, and countless other skills and talents. He often could be found helping out friends, a true give his shirt off his back man. He was a witty individual who loved history, aviation, and was passionate about his children. In his younger years, Glen went through RCMP training, as well, he held a private pilot license.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank the hospital staff in both Sydney and Halifax for their extensive care, dedication and efforts.
