It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfathe­r Joseph Thomas Milton Clannon on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital in Sydney.

Born in Arichat, Milton was the only child of the late Mary Catherine (Samson) Clannon. He was a fisherman and carpenter for most of his life. Boats and the water was his passion.

Milton is survived by his partner and best friend, Anne Marie Boudreau, Little Anse. He is also survived by his three children, Shelly Kehoe (Michael Kenny), Ben Eoin, Timmy, Little Anse, Sandy (Nicole), Sydney and their mother, Joan (Harris) Clannon. He will be sadly missed by the apples of his eye, his two grandchild­ren, Nena Laine Clannon and Myles Thomas Clannon. Also surviving are aunt, Claire Samson, Little Anse; brother-in-law, Gary Harris, Petit de Grat; sisters-in-law, Judy (David) Kehoe, Arichat and Elizabeth (Pardy) Harris, Petit de Grat.

There will be no visitation per request. Funeral Mass will take place Friday morning at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, Petit de Grat with Rev. Michel Exalant officiatin­g. Burial to follow in Star of the Sea Cemetery, Petit de Grat. A reception will follow the burial at the Social Action Center in Little Anse.

Memorial donations can be made to the Strait Richmond Hospital Foundation.
