New golf event at Highland Links

Celtic Air Services has partnered with the Keltic Lodge, the Highlands Links Golf Club and Kimberly Ibarra Inc. to announce an invitation-only golf tournament and getaway to take place in Ingonish Beach in June.

The event, a traditional golf tournament, will feature an opening night reception, the golf tournament at Highlands Links and an evening gala hosted at Keltic Lodge. Golfers from around the world are expected to compete for the inaugural Highland Keltic Cup.

Kimberly Ibarra Inc. is a luxury brand developer based out of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

“When I first met with the team from Celtic Air, I was absolutely mesmerized by pictures of the grounds and scenery surrounding the Keltic Lodge and Highlands Links, and after hearing their ideas, I knew that my team had to put this event together,” Ibarra said in a news release.

“Our agency works with clients such as Embraer Business Jets, PXG golf and Boat International Media, so this was such a natural fit, given the hype surrounding Cape Breton Island lately.”

Keltic Lodge, which was purchased three years ago by Golf North, has recently seen extensive investment and upgrades.

“We’re very excited to host this event, and these are certainly the kind of folks that we want to showcase our property to,” said Graham Hudson, Keltic Lodge general manager, noting the Highlands Links is back on the world’s top 100 courses list.
