With heavy hearts, we regret to announce the passing of Ritchie Campbell, age 62, on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at home.

Born on April 17, 1955 in Sydney, Ritchie was the son of the late Cosmos and Mae (Napman) Campbell.

Ritchie loved working as an auto mechanic. Over the years he worked at Powers Trucking, Bridgeport Paving and doing body work and painting cars with Joe Bragg and Windy MacDonald, as well as working at Eastside Auto Salvage. Richie enjoyed working out in the yard doing mechanical work and welding floors and rocker panels in cars. He will be remembered by his family and friends for loving the outdoors and helping those in need.

Ritchie leaves behind his wife, Cathy; children, Kyle, Justin (Laureen) and Ashley (Gordie); pappa’s pride and joy, Karter and Kaelyn; siblings, Eddie (Sharon), Kevin (Chris), Clifford, Blaine (Margie), Sandra, Heather (Dave), Caroline, Sherry (Sandy) and Emma (Gordon); as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Ritchie was predecease­d by brothers, John (Nancy), Bernie and daughter, Brittany in infancy.

Visitation for the late Richard ‘Ritchie’ William Campbell will be held at the Pier Community Funeral Home, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church Street) on Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Memorial service to celebrate the life of the late Richard ‘Ritchie’ William Campbell will be held Friday, April 20, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the All Faith Chapel with Fr. Paul Murphy officiatin­g.

Private family burial will take place at a later date.

Donations in memory of Ritchie may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Funeral arrangemen­ts are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
