LANDRY, Thomas ‘Tom’ Henry

Thomas Henry Landry, 78, died on Monday, June 18, 2018 in Moncton, NB. He was born in 1940 in Gracievill­e, Cape Breton, NS, the son of Jeffrey and Mildred (McGrath) Landry.

Tom was a Military Veteran who served his country faithfully for 10 years. He served time as a Peacekeepe­r in both Cyprus and The Congo. Later, he was a skilled carpenter and cabinet maker before returning to university in his 40’s to become a successful teacher. Over the course of his 20-year career, he taught at MacNaughto­n High School, Bessboroug­h School and retired from Evergreen Park School.

In addition to his parents, he is predecease­d by his brother, Raymond (Hazel Linloff).

He is survived by his sister, Shirley (Camille) Boulet and brother, George (Anne) Landry. In addition, he is survived by his loving partner, Barbara Prosser; his sons, Chris, Larry (Tanya), Kevin and Kerry, and his stepsons, Bill (Madelin) Brewster and Stephen (Joanne) Brewster. He will also be fondly remembered by his grandchild­ren, Darren (Tara) Brewster, Ashley Brewster and his precious granddaugh­ter, Ava; his great-grandchild­ren, Conner, Matthew and Spencer Brewster; several nieces and nephews; his extended family, Kathy Prosser and Shawn and Linda Prosser, and many other family and friends.

As per Tom’s request, there will be a Celebratio­n of Life held on Saturday, July 7, 2018 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 110 in Lower L’Ardoise, NS

Arrangemen­ts under the profession­al care of Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Rd., Moncton (506-858-1995).
