Plea date set on multiple offences
SYDNEY — A 23-year-old Sydney Mines man, who was previously denied bail, is to return to provincial court in December to enter pleas on a host of offences.
Kevin Thomas Forrest of Crescent Street is charged with five counts of breaching court orders, and single counts of assault with a weapon, uttering a threat and carrying a weapon dangerous to public peace.
The offences are alleged to have occurred Oct. 9 in Sydney. A co-accused in the case is to return to court on similar charges Nov. 19.
Forrest is also charged with two counts of breaching court orders and single counts of assault with a weapon (a baseball bat), and break and enter. The offences are alleged to have occurred July 17 in Big Bras d’Or. In addition, Forrest is charged with four counts of breaching court orders and a single count of auto theft which are alleged to have occurred Aug. 6 in Big Bras d’Or.
A plea date on the charges has been set for Dec. 3.
