Why­co­co­magh cel­e­brates Christ­mas in the Vil­lage

WHY­CO­CO­MAGH — Christ­mas is al­ready un­der­way in a small vil­lage lo­cated in­side In­ver­ness County. On Satur­day, staff and stu­dents of Why­co­co­magh Ed­u­ca­tion Cen­tre will host a Fes­ti­val of Trees. Ad­mis­sion is $2 or $5 per fam­ily with pro­ceeds to sup­port the school play­ground fund. Ev­ery­thing starts at noon with a chilli lunch at the school hosted by the Why­co­co­magh Child Devel­op­ment Cen­tre.

Be­tween the hours of 6-8 p.m. on Satur­day, L’Arche Com­mu­nity in Iron Mines will host its drive-thru Beth­le­hem that will be guided by cos­tumed shep­herds.

Mo­torists and their pas­sen­gers will meet the inn keeper, mer­chants, an­gels, Ro­man sol­diers, three kings, vil­lagers and of course Mary, Joseph and the baby Je­sus.
