Whycocomagh celebrates Christmas in the Village
WHYCOCOMAGH — Christmas is already underway in a small village located inside Inverness County. On Saturday, staff and students of Whycocomagh Education Centre will host a Festival of Trees. Admission is $2 or $5 per family with proceeds to support the school playground fund. Everything starts at noon with a chilli lunch at the school hosted by the Whycocomagh Child Development Centre.
Between the hours of 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, L’Arche Community in Iron Mines will host its drive-thru Bethlehem that will be guided by costumed shepherds.
Motorists and their passengers will meet the inn keeper, merchants, angels, Roman soldiers, three kings, villagers and of course Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus.
