HENRY, Mary Valerie (McDougall)

Mary Valerie (McDougall) Henry passed away at the K.E. Spencer Memorial Home, Moncton, NB on Friday, February 8, 2019 from a short illness at the age of 70.

Valerie was born July 18, 1948 in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia to the late Veronica (Corrigan) McDougall and the late Michael Thomas McDougall.

She was also predeceased by her husband, Valeri J. Henry in 2006; her brother, Greg McDougall in 2009; her sister, Heather McDougall in 2010; father-inlaw, Edouard Henri in 1981.

Val and Val, as they were known, were the owners of Val’s Catering Service for many years. Valerie is also a former employee of ICT Riverview. She retired in 2007.

Valerie is survived by one brother, Cameron McDougall of Shediac; one sister, Darlene McDougall of Moncton and sister-in-law, Sharon McDougall of Moncton. She is also survived by a special aunt, Betty Rich of New Waterford, Nova Scotia; her mother-in-law, Dorina Henri-Aucoin of Shediac; five sisters-in-law, Jeannette (Norman) Gaudet, Beatrice (Byron) Vickers, Simonne Henry, Stella (Roger) LeBlanc, all of Moncton and Rita (Terry) Langille of Halifax; three brothers-in-law, Aquila Henri (Louise) of Moncton, Laurie Henri (Louise Anne) of Atholville, NB and Robert Henri (Candace) of Halifax, NS. Valerie has many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. She will be missed by her friend, Bernice Vinacco and her family.

No visitation or funeral by request. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe in the spring.
